Horses in the wild can (ideally) find everything they require in their habitat: clean water, green pastures, uncontaminated air… They can find all the life-sustaining vitamins and minerals freely given by Mother Earth. They are also able to freely graze on herbs that provide additional nutrition and the occasional remedy to any of the problems they may encounter. Mother Nature is very knowledgeable this way, it is truly remarkable how horses in the wild follow their instincts for health and soundness.

Domesticated horses, although some may have access to good pastures, have other needs. Often their roaming is limited by fences, most herbs are out of reach. Then we find the performance horses: some of them see the enclosure of their stall more hours per day than the green of the pasture. And their needs? Well, their needs are much higher than a pasture horse. Just as an example, an idle adult horse requires about 16-17 Mcal of Dietary Energy per day, a Racehorse requirements are about double that. Their legs, joints, and hooves are exposed to constant pounding, with all the wear and tear that this implies. Their oxygen intake requires strong lungs and because of the increased blood pressure, a strong heart. The requirements of high-intensity exercise also takes a toll on the muscles, which could quickly accumulate lactic acid and deplete ATP, effectively “washing down” your horse. Horses in endurance training (long-duration, low-intensity) also have different needs to enhance endurance and delay fatigue. In order to be in competitive shape and maintain excellent health and soundness, the human caretaker of an equine athlete needs to provide for all the horses’ needs.

So, in addition to quality ingredients and well-researched formulas, we’ve decided to innovate on the presentation. All of our products are packed in individual-use packets under inert gas blanket in oxygen barrier package. We protect our products from oxygen through the manufacturing process, packing, shelf life and all the way to the hands that give it to the horse, at the very moment of its use. Just so it arrives fresh to the moment you want to use it.

Also, all of our products are Non-GMO, and we use non-animal origin ingredients.
