SSN HA 150
Oral Sodium Hyaluronate Liquid for Horses
SSN HA150 is a 4 in 1 solution for Joint, ligament, gastric and capillary health
Sodium Hyaluronate is the stable and orally absorbable form of Hyaluronic Acid. Hyaluronic Acid has an important role in many physiological functions: cell protection and lubrication, structural integrity of tissues, cell and molecule transport, cell mitigation, cell function and differentiation, fluid retention and regulation.

Joint Health
Hyaluronic Acid is an important component of the intercellular matrix. In joints it is found in the SYNOVIAL FLUID. Synovial Fluid carries supplies to the articular cartilage, functions as lubricant (smoother passage of one bone over another) and absorbs shock from high impact work. The role of Hyaluronic Acid in the synovial fluid is to increase its viscoelastic properties (thickness).
SSN HA 150 boasts 300 mg of Hyaluronic Acid per fl oz (30 ml) packed in 0.5 fl oz (15 ml) packets (150 mg of HA each), perfect for administering ORALLY during or after mealtime, twice a day during loading. Upon achieving results or after about 2 weeks, cut down to 1 packet per day and then to SSN HA 75 for maintenance.
Ligament Health
Especially helpful post-surgery. The positive effect of hyaluronic acid can be attributed to the anti-inflammatory activity, enhanced cell proliferation, and collagen deposition, besides the lubricating action on the sliding surface of the tendon.
Gastric Health

Capillary Health
Hyaluronan (HA) is a ubiquitous glycosaminoglycan of the extracellular matrix. It is present in the endothelial glycocalyx covering the apical surface of endothelial cells. The endothelial glycocalyx regulates blood vessel permeability and homeostasis. HA plays a central role in numerous functions of the endothelial surface layer, protecting the endothelial cells, regulating the barrier permeability, and ensuring mechanosensing, which is essential to nitric oxide production and flow-induced vasodilation.
Horses under strenuous exercise conditions have much higher blood pressure (slightly less than tenfold that of a horse at rest). There is strong evidence that the extremely high pressures in the pulmonary circulation during exercise result in mechanical failure of the tiny blood vessels, the capillaries, resulting in hemorrhage into the alveoli (air-containing spaces where gas is exchanged with the blood).
Oral supplementation with Sodium Hyaluronate may help support capillary and other blood vessels’ health.
