What you should expect to see in your horse?
- May promote faster conditioning
- Supports Racing More Often
- Allowing the horse to train more often may produce improvements in win rates
- May help Increase Distance Travelled
- May help maintain healthy Red Blood Cell Related Parameters
- May help maintain normal CK* levels post exercise
- May help ease the discomfort associated with DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness)
- May help promote endurance through an increase in aerobic capacity (measured through VO2 and lactic acid threshold)
- Replenished ATP, supporting access to energy reserves
- Supports normal muscle recovery and recovery time after strenuous exercise
- Supports the body’s normal repair of muscles after strenuous exercise
- May help ease aches and discomfort caused by training and competition
* Creatine Kinase
After a “leave it all in the track” performance, horses are at their most vulnerable state: all their reserves are gone. The amount of time it takes a horse to recover from high-intensity exercise depends on its ATP levels. Research shows that following strenuous workouts, muscular ATP levels decrease substantially. Supplementation with an ATP precursor can shorten the recovery time and replenish the empty stores.
Active Ingredients per 50 ml Packet:
Proprietary blend of Alpha-Linolenic Acid ALA (Omega 3 from Flaxseed Oil), CaHMB, D-Ribose, Acetyl L-Carnitine, L-Carnitine Tartrate and Betaine (TMG)…… 19208 mg
Available in:
Ideal to provide after (or prior) to exercise or events. Does not test positive. Use on its own (twice a day) to help the equine athlete get back to 100%: recover from exercise induced muscle soreness, replenish its empty stores and return to work faster to tackle the next challenge. Or use as part of the SSN Pre-Race Program or SSN Ultra PreRace Program.
Unique features:
ALA (Alpha-Linolenic Acid an Omega 3, from Flaxseed Oil)
Omega 3. Helps Maintain a Normal Inflammation Response (ALA precursor of EPA). Horses that do not have access to grass or those that receive fortified grains may be getting too many omega-6 fatty acids, upsetting the ideal balanced ratio between the omega 3 and omega 6s. Supplementing with additional omega 3s is beneficial for these horses because it helps to bring them back to a natural balance, with a more normal response to inflammation throughout the body. Omega 3s also play an important role in supporting the health of a horse by enhancing its immune response, seasonal allergy response, gastric, and muscle health.

CaHMB
Metabolite of the amino acid Leucine. Supports normal muscle recovery/repair. Promotes proper muscle metabolism in horses. Does not test positive.

D-Ribose
Supports muscle health after exercise and maintains physical performance. An important component in the formation of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) molecule (ATP precursor). Crucial role in cellular bioenergetics. D-Ribose has also shown a benefit in limiting the increased production of oxygen free radicals the following stress

L-Carnitine
Provides antioxidant support, reducing oxidative stress. Facilitates the recovery process after exercise. Attenuates the side effects of high-intensity training by limiting the magnitude of exercise-induced hypoxia (oxygen depletion) and muscle fatigue. Carnitine Supplementation supports the capacity of skeletal muscle to oxidize free fatty acids. Supports normal lactic acid levels.

Betaine/TMG (trimethylglycine)
Antioxidant / free radical scavenger. “Methyl donor.” Carries and donates methyl molecules to facilitate necessary chemical processes. It also serves as an osmolyte that protects against dehydration and stress associated with cell water loss.
